The herder told how he was the specialist that tied Jocasta's story and the flag-bearer's together. He was the man to whom Jocasta had given the infant Oedipus. He told how he was unable to desert the child in the mountains and imagined that it is sheltered to give the infan t to a man from Corinth, the delegate. With the fruition of this story Oedipus realized that he was the posterity of Jocasta and Laius and that the entirety of the predictions were valid. He at that point continued to dazzle himself and carry on with an existence of a vagabond.
